چکیده

The common-mode antenna (CMA) model and the equivalent differential-mode (DM) circuit are based on imbalance difference theory. theory describes mode conversion between common (CM) differential by focusing difference. CMA has been proven to provide excellent estimations of CM radiated emission. In this work, is combined with DM extend practical applications that include in both directions radiation loss. applied cable-connected printed boards (PCBs) an adjacent metal chassis imitates a signal transmission system placed close chassis. calculated emission using field-and-circuit co-simulator, considering Simulation results confirmed precisely estimated being separated from also provided physical insights into EMC design will enable be efficiently reduced.

Estimation of Common Mode Radiated Emissions from Cables Attached to High Speed Pcb Using Imbalance Difference Model

The functional (Differential-Mode) signals on Printed Circuit Board (PCB)-traces are not possibly responsible for higher emissions. However, they can induce unwanted Common–Mode (CM) signals on the nearby metallic structures such as PCB-attached cables. Commonly, PCB-attached cables can act as unintentional antenna resulting in higher emissions that may make the PCB easily fail to meet the Elec...

Comparative Study of Radiated Emission in Various Microstripline Structures on Printed Circuit Boards

The enormous advancement in science and technology has led to increase in the requirements for high speed data transmission. The increase in the speed of the digital circuits as well as the density of printed circuit board will often result in more challenging signal integrity issues. One of the most important signal integrity issues is radiated emission. We analyzed the radiation in different ...

Method of Measuring Common-Mode Current Conversion Coefficient for Estimating Variation in Radiated Emission from Printed Circuit Board Components

This work describes the measurement of the common-mode current conversion coefficient for a microstrip line with solid and slotted ground planes by using a VNA with a BCI probe. The radiated emissions estimated by the common-mode current conversion coefficient are further compared with those obtained by the FAC measurements. Furthermore, the proposed method was used to estimate radiated emissio...

Analysis on Loop Area Trace Radiated Emissions from Decoupling Capacitor Placement on Printed Circuit Boards

This paper presents, with a solid conclusion, practical, hands-on applied EMC information for engineers that can be put to immediate use without relying on the mathematics of Maxwell's equations. An examination is made to determine if the physical placement of decoupling capacitors makes a significant difference in the development and propagation of radiated emissions from a printed circuit boa...

Compromising Radiated Emission from a Power Line Communication Cable

This contribution presents a preliminary investigation on the possibility of eavesdropping, i.e., of extracting information by exploiting the electromagnetic field radiated in the vicinity of a power line communication (PLC) network. This kind of problem is usually known in the electromagnetic compatibility area under the codename TEMPEST. Electromagnetic field measurements were carried out in ...
